Is the online figure a quote?

No. It is a guide estimate only. Prices vary with access, ground conditions, height, hire length and other things we can only see on site. A free site visit is required to confirm the price. Until then it is not a quote.

How soon can you erect?

Straightforward domestic jobs around Hastings, Bexhill and the borough are often on the tools within a few days. Designed scaffolds and anything needing a pavement licence need a little more lead time — we will say so on the estimate.

What is included in a standard estimate?

Accepted Answer

Delivery, erection, 6–8 weeks' hire, weekly inspections, and dismantle. Anything over 8 weeks is charged extra. Temporary roofs, netting, and council pavement licences are itemised. The online figure is a guide — access, ground, height and other site factors can change the price. We confirm on a free site visit. It is not a fixed quote.

Do I need a pavement licence?

If any part of the scaffold sits on the public highway — including a pavement — the local authority requires a licence. We apply on your behalf and add the fee to the estimate. Rear gardens and private drives usually do not need one.

Question 5

How often is the scaffold inspected?

Accepted Answer

At least every seven days, after any event that could affect stability (a storm, a vehicle strike), and after any alteration. You receive a copy of the inspection record.

Question 6

Are your scaffolders CISRS carded?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Operatives are trained and certified by the CISRS, CSCS and CITB. We are fully insured, and commercial principal contractors get the tickets with the RAMS. We are happy to supply references.

Question 7

Can you work around a steep or awkward site?

That is most of Hastings. We plan materials off the lorry and often hand-ball fittings in. Mention access when you enquire and we will price the extra labour, not discover it on the day.

Where do you cover?

Hastings, East Sussex and Kent — including Bexhill, Rye, Eastbourne, Brighton, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, Tenterden and the surrounding towns. If we cannot do it well, we will say so.
